Hello, everyone! I am Pre-Nursing student looking to keep my skills nimble in French and Psychology (from a previous degree) while helping others learn what I've learned so far in Biology and Chemistry. Over the past four years, I have taken a variety of different French, Psychology (including cross-cultural courses), Biology, and Chemistry that I feel will help me help you. Recently experiencing term papers, finals, and pop quizzes will help me to give students better ways of studying, starting from reading course material more thoroughly and taking better notes.
French is my passion, and I hope that I can help create that passion in your student. The most memorable experience I have learning French was in Rennes, France in the summer of 2009. I spent two months in the Rennes-area, staying with two different French families, in conjunction with the Franco-American Institute. I enjoyed traveling with my families and alone. I had a fantastic time eating new foods and seeing living history while really perfecting my spoken French in lieu of written assignments sent back home to my French professor. I love French films and literature, and I do hope that students will enjoy French films and comics as much as I do. Pop culture is often the best way to learn.
Psychology surprised me after taking an introductory course as part of my general studies. I was hooked, so I quickly took more courses in human development, statistics, neuroscience, and research. I have been fascinated by the broad and diverse field of psychology and all of the possibilities it offers. It would be my absolute pleasure to help others grasp these concepts, as well.
As a Pre-Nursing student, I have take a good variety of courses in Biology and Chemistry. I am confident in helping you to pass classes like Microbiology and General Chemistry.
I also have experience with universal design and can accommodate different learning styles by providing accessible formats of all worksheets and handouts that I have created to help you learn.
