I believe there's no reason to learn something unless you can apply it to your life. There's no point in learning something just because someone tells you to learn it. I work to help each student connect the material to his or her life, so the material has depth and importance.

I have a master's degree in English, and I am currently earning my Colorado State teachers' certification. I have worked as an ACT tutor, a tutor for college students, a GED tutor, middle school teacher, and high school teacher. There are really no populations I have not worked with.
