I recently moved to the Denver area from southern California. I have been tutoring for 6 years now and I love it. I graduated from California Baptist University with a bachelor's degree in Psychology. I started graduate school there and will be completing it here in beautiful Colorado. I prefer tutoring algebra 1 and 2 as well as pre-algebra. I have a very flexible schedule because I work in retail. I would love to work with you and your family to help your child succeed. I have had many students and I can adapt to their learning style. I have minimal experience with special needs students. I enjoy using flashcards and workbooks. The textbooks are usually the best resource. I hope to hear from you soon and I appreciate you taking the time to read this.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Algebra 1

I have taken and passed with A's in high school and college algebra classes. I have been tutoring algebra for 6 years. I usually use textbooks, workbooks, and flashcards when appropriate.

There have been and always will be challenges in school, whether it be elementary school, middle school, high school, or college. One of my biggest challenges was mastering chemistry and algebra 2 in high school. I had moved in the middle of the year and the school I transferred to was much farther ahead in both subjects. I overcame this challenge by staying late after school with my teachers... read more

I had been struggling with algebra for quite awhile and was very stressed. The day after my session with Kimberly, I thought to myself, "Wow, I'm able to do algebra equations that I was completely clueless about yesterday." I dropped out of school over two decades ago, so I have ...
