Just your typical science geek! I graduated from the University of Colorado at Denver with my B.S. in Chemistry. I know not everyone loves math and chemistry like I do, but I always hope to leave my students a little more enthusiastic about it when I leave. I enjoy teaching, explaining how and why things work and helping others. I am very down-to-earth, easy to talk to and always try to make my students feel comfortable asking questions. There are no silly questions in my book. I am most experienced in the fields of chemistry and math. I look forward to and enjoy tutoring in those subjects.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

ADD/ADHD

I personally struggled with having ADD/ADHD while growing up and all throughout school so I know the challenges it can present. Having ADD/ADHD means one must approach studying, test-taking, school and learning in general in different and innovative ways. Learning with ADD/ADHD requires more patience from the teacher and often times one-on-one focus.

Chemistry

Chemistry is not only my career path, it is my specialty and my passion. The world around us is all a product of chemistry and I really enjoy teaching others everything I can about chemistry.
