My name is Andy, and I'm a post-baccalaureate premedical student at UCCS. My undergraduate degree is in business administration, but I'm immersed in science and math now. I have experience tutoring algebra, pre-calculus, calculus, general chemistry, organic chemistry, physics (algebra and calculus based), and MCAT preparation.

I scored a 1460 (out of 1600) on the SAT, a 750 on the GMAT, and a 36 on the MCAT, so if you need help preparing for a college, MBA, or medical school admissions exam, I'm the guy for the job. Calculus

This subject has a reputation for being difficult, but it can all make sense if it's explained the right way.

Chemistry

I have tutored both first and second semester general chemistry multiple times. I scored in the 99th percentile on the American Chemical Society's general chemistry comprehensive exam, and I can help you or your student attain the same level of competence in the subject. I explain general chemistry concepts in a way that makes the concepts seem coherent and self-reinforcing, minimizing the need to memorize.

Physics

Physics is one of my favorite subjects to tutor. I have helped students with algebra and calculus based physics for several semesters now, and I would be delighted to help you or your student learn my step by step strategies for solving problems in kinematics, mechanics, energy, rotation, momentum, electricity, magnetism, circuits, optics, waves, or whatever your specialized physics needs may be.

MCAT

I took the MCAT in January 2013, and I received a score of 36 (13 Physical Sciences, 12 Verbal Reasoning, 11 Biological Sciences). I have tutored MCAT prep before, and I am especially strong at teaching physics, general chemistry, and organic chemistry. The questions that appear on the MCAT are different than those that commonly appear in undergraduate courses, but I know the kinds of material and questions that the MCAT focuses on.

Organic Chemistry

I have tutored organic chemistry for many students, both on its own and as part of the curriculum for the MCAT. I am skilled at explaining the concepts and mechanisms in terms of electron transfer, so that students can reason through reactions even if they have not memorized them. How do I receive a discount?
