I am a mathematics tutor primarily, and I am also a student of mathematics at UCCS. I have had over 7 years of one-on-one tutoring experience and I am very well-versed in mathematics. I have also loved math for as long as I can remember, so I try to show that and use that to inspire students. I try my best to make good connections with my students to help them feel more comfortable around me and so that we can work together more effectively. I will work anywhere that the student feels more comfortable, whether in the home or a library, etc. If there is a subject I'm not as comfortable with, I will do my best to understand it prior to meeting with the student so I can help them better. Algebra 1

I am very strong in my basic Algebra skills and I'm confident I can help students to be better and understand this subject.

Algebra 2

I have worked a great deal with Algebra 2 material and students in classes like it. I also have my own materials for use if needed.

Microsoft Excel

I have a basic understanding of Excel and I can relate some of those ideas to students, but I am not advanced in all the different facets of this program.

Geometry

I have helped many students through this course and I do my best to get the concepts and ideas across to the students. I am very patient and will take as much time as is needed to explain a concept using multiple different techniques when possible.

Microsoft PowerPoint

I have a pretty good understanding of this program and how to use it and make the presentations more exciting. I am not a master of this program but I will help any student learn how to use this program effectively.

Prealgebra

I have tutored many students in this subject and as a result have become very excelled in teaching this subject. I am very confident in my ability to help students learn the different parts of this subject, and I have my own materials to help students even more.

GED

I have never dealt with this test personally but I am confident I would know all the mathematics on the test. Test prep materials would be appreciated but not necessary for students to have.

ACT Math

I have tutored students for the ACT and as long as there is some form of a practice test, I will look it over and then do my best to help tutor in this area.

Elementary Math

I have worked with a few students in this area and I have been successful with all of them. I am confident I can help students through this level of mathematics, and I also have a number of tricks I can give students to help them learn these concepts even better.
