I am a certified elementary teacher, and my tutoring students address me "Ms. Margaret." My K-8 subjects include reading, writing, math, and dyslexia; I teach students with the Barton Reading materials and plan to become a certified Barton tutor in the near future. With several years of successful tutoring experience, I regularly provide parent references to parents of prospective students.

In addition to private tutoring, I also teach as a math tutor in a D-11 middle school. Teaching is my passion and calling. I have a friendly and upbeat teaching style while challenging, pacing, motivating, and holding students accountable for their learning progress.

Elementary Math

Dyslexia

Currently, I am successfully working with three dyslexic children, using the Barton Reading program. We have seen steady and exciting progress with each of these students. Also, I have researched this disorder,and closely read and followed the information presented in the book "Overcoming Dyslexia," by Sally Shaywitz. Parents of these students have happily agreed to talk with other parents of potential dyslexic students, about my tutoring practice.

How do I receive a discount?

Save between 5 and 15% on tutoring by purchasing credit with one of our prepaid discount packages. You can buy one of our standard 5, 10 or 15% packages or customize your own package based on how much tutoring you need. The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
