I have been teaching for 16 years. Currently, I am the ELL Specialist and Coordinator for a charter school in Colorado. I do a lot of teaching teachers how to teach and what works best with students and for students. I love my job, I just do not get to work with students as much as I like. I miss working one-on-one with students.

I have taught all grades and subjects K-12. I have two master's degrees: Elementary Education and Second Language Learners. I love teaching and I am dedicated to helping students reach their fullest potential. I know what works with students. I use the newest, most effective researched based practices to help students discover their love of learning.

I like making learning come alive for students. I have developed a reading program to help older students learn how to read quickly and effectively. I helped a senior in high school finally learn to read.

I am a lifelong learner myself. I believe the best way to help students learn is to ignite their passion for learning. I also know that in order for students to be successful they must enjoy what they are doing.

Tutoring is my passion. I love working one-on-one with students. Most students who struggle have fallen through the cracks at traditional schools. They do not get the time and attention they need in order to be successful. There are too many students in the classroom, not enough time, not enough resources... but the bottom line is that many students are not getting the help they need.

I want to help all children I work with be successful. My favorite thing to see is when a child finally understands something they have been struggling to understand - the "light bulb" moment. The joy on their face is amazing. I believe all students can learn. I am excited to get started helping as many students as I can!
