All through high school and middle school, I studied Spanish but it wasn't until I lived in São Paulo, Brazil, that I really began to understand the composition of the Latin languages. (Yes, I'm fluent in Portuguese as well as Spanish.) After I returned to the US from my year abroad with rotary, I majored in Spanish at UNC. I loved it! Speaking, reading, writing and listening to Spanish is so fun to me and I know really great methods to help students retain vocabulary and understand verb conjugation. I know that verbs are one of the hardest parts of learning Spanish but with my methods to help you visualize the mechanics, memorization will come easily and you will be sure to pass tests with flying colors. I tutor Spanish students of all levels including AP Spanish 4 and 5. I have read many of the required readings for AP 5 and can help talk you through the overall meaning of the book and if I haven't read it yet, I will love reading it to help you better understand the material.
