To start with a little background, I tutored for a year and a half during my undergraduate career at Saint Cloud State University and then was an instructor of an introductory statistics course for two years while I completed my master's degree. I love to help others and find that I have a unique way of reaching students and helping them find their own inner strengths to succeed.
From January 2009 to December 2010 at Saint Cloud State University in Saint Cloud, MN, I was a graduate assistant in statistics. During that time I prepared and taught an introductory statistics course. I also hosted a number of office hours during the week to help students develop confidence in their abilities. In addition, I collaborated with the STAT 193 coordinator to re-design and better the ability to communicate and teach statistics more effectively.
From October 2007 to December 2008 at Saint Cloud State University I was a statistics tutor. During this time I aided students in courses varying from introductory statistics to advanced statistics to help them further grasp material misunderstood in class. I also created a comfortable and confident atmosphere for students to feel less intimidated to meet the challenges of course homework.
I feel that with the appropriate assistance any student can achieve her or his full potential. Sometimes the student just needs a facilitator to help find it.
