I am a recent grad from California State University of Fullerton, class of 2011. I majored in English Literature
and for four years, I dedicated myself to studying some of the greatest works of literature as well as developed and strengthened both my writing
and critical thinking skills. Throughout my scholastic career, I have read, researched, and written on a wide breadth of subjects and works and have received instruction from some of the most adept and qualified professors in the discipline in the area; instruction that I readily will pass on to you. In addition, I work as a licensed substitute teacher in the 27-J school district. I have been at this position for three years now--focusing, but not limited to--teaching middle and high school.
I strongly believe literature and the art
of writing is accessible to anyone. Regardless of what you may think, Shakespeare can be understood and you can enjoy reading
his work! Poetry does not have to induce headaches and you most certainly can write that essay
with a thesis that will blow even you away! All you need is the proper instruction.
Conventional methods of teaching don't center around the student, they focus on the class as a whole. As a result, not everyone receives the adequate form of instruction they need and deserve. I have been providing students of all ages quality one-on-one sessions for over five years. I will conference with parents/students via any portal (skype, telephone, and of course, face to face) to establish lesson plans and discuss expectations.
So let's crack open those books! You'll be quoting Shakespeare in no time.
