I consider teaching a predominant method of getting students enthused about science while also encouraging curiosity, critical thinking, and problem solving. I have taught at many levels of educational progress ranging from high school to graduate programs. I strongly believe that my successful educating experiences come from a combination of three main components: the breath of my knowledge, the tools I use to present the knowledge, but most importantly, the observable passion that I have for knowledge. My most significant and memorable teaching moments come from a period of teaching Biology classes to K 9-12 students. Precisely because of my enthusiasm and passion for science, I was able to position my students as the best scoring cohort and place many of them onto a path to honors, an advanced placement in biology, or later a college major.
