I am a 25 year-old graduate with significant experience in Economics, Spanish, and Chemistry. I graduated in 2010 from the University of Colorado with a 3.89 GPA and Summa Cum Laude honors for my thesis in economics. Following graduation, I worked for two years in economic policy at the Brookings Institution in Washington, D.C. My Spanish skills come from my second major, and also from a lifetime of learning from my parents, who are native (immigrant) Spanish speakers. I am now in school taking the pre-medical requirements to apply to medical school, and have a 4.0 GPA in chemistry.
I have tutored formally and informally during the course of my education. I enjoy - and have a knack for- breaking down complex concepts into more easily digestible parts. Because I hard to work hard to understand economics as an undergrad, I can usually spot the trouble areas for other students as well, and guide them through. Though the subjects I tutor in can be intimidating, I know that with a little extra explanation, all students can perform.
