I am a student at CU. I have previously tutored privately, through mentoring, as well as tutoring refugees. I have also taught science in elementary school programs. I have experience tutoring math, science, foreign languages, as well as history and the social sciences. There are many subjects that are out of the ordinary that I am self-taught in, including web design and coding. I know that people learn at different paces and in different ways. I incorporate this understanding when teaching. This allows my students to feel comfortable and to learn in a way that is easiest for them. I have a passion for knowledge and learning. Geometry

Geometry can be a nuisance for many. I know how to make it fun.

Elementary (K-6th)

I have taught and tutored elementary school students. I have taught science programs. Through private lessons, I have helped with reading and writing as well.

I helped elementary age students read above their grade level. I have taught elementary Spanish.

Having nannied home-schooled children, I have participated in all aspects of education for this age group. I have put together experiments, taught history, and even taught languages such as Latin.

Dutch

I grew up in the Netherlands and Dutch was my first language. I have spoken fluently since and keep up with it regularly. I am experienced in teaching Dutch grammar, which can be difficult to comprehend.

Anthropology

I am majoring in anthropology and have completed upper division courses in the subject with all A's and one B. I am educated in cultural and physical anthropology. I have experience in primate behavior, observation, and evolution. I also have experience in ethnography and the study of various cultures throughout history.

Social Studies

I have mentored and taught study skills with various students, including students with ADD and ADHD.

I have explored various ways to study and help students with what works for them the best.

How do I receive a discount?

Save between 5 and 15% on tutoring by purchasing credit with one of our prepaid discount packages. You can buy one of our standard 5, 10 or 15% packages or customize your own package based on how much tutoring you need. The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
