I have taught Japanese Conversation and English Composition to adults through the community colleges and BVSD Lifelong Learning. I've worked as a Japanese-English Interpreter and also written and published several how-to books in English. My strength is in conversational Japanese and discussing cultural subjects using Japanese videos, TV, or children's books.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am fluent in Japanese and experienced in teaching English speakers. I've lived and worked in Japan for 10 years, currently teach at FRCC, and am enrolled in a training program for Japanese language teachers administered by the American Association of Teachers of Japanese. I am familiar with Yokoso.
