My name is Allison and I am here to help you with your writing and reading needs! If you are having problems with grammar, citations, or anything to do with an essay I can help you out.
I graduated with a degree in English Writing, so I have some background in several writing styles ranging from technical to creative to literature essays. I worked as a Writing Tutor for two years, helping college students write essays and papers for a large variety of topics. Students came in every day asking for help with papers ranging from basic composition to thesis projects. These papers were not limited to English classes; I also helped with biology, computer science, business, math, and more. I would read through each student's paper carefully before making a list of suggestions. When a student did not understand the suggestions, I would walk them through how to make the fix carefully. Students often came back to tell me "thank you" for helping them achieve a higher grade than they would have gotten without help.
Occasionally, a student learning English as a second language would come in, looking for help. Working with ESL students requires a different method; I would work slowly through the paper with them to make sure they understood the changes that need to be made.
