Allow me to introduce myself a little here. I'm originally from Wyoming but I have a BA in Spanish from Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction and I consider myself an adoptee of Colorado. As a tutor, I have considerable experience. I have 3 years of experience as a Spanish teacher at a local Denver area district, and have worked at the university as a private tutor as well. I teach Middle School age (11-14), but I have experience with high school and college level as well. I have lived in the two Hispanic cultures (Costa Rica and Spain), and I have good command of the language, vocabulary, structures, and pronunciation. Although I'm not a native speaker, this can work as an advantage because I have a unique perspective along with a passion for learning language that a Native speaker may not have. It's possible to become bilingual, I did and you can too.
Regarding my methods, I believe in spending as much time as possible in communication, and not on meaningless drills and grammar. Grammar is essential is some cases, but it is best taught briefly in the context of real communication. I teach in two phases; in the context of language input; receiving language through interactive stories, songs, videos, readings, and other motivating sources, and then output; language production in writing and in speech. I consider myself very creative and capable with technology, and view it as a limitless tool for use in language learning, so I integrate it into my tutoring. Contact me to request more information.

Voy a presentarme un poquito aquí. Soy originario de Wyoming pero tengo un titulo bachillerato en español de la Universidad de Colorado Mesa Grand Junction, y me considero un nativo adoptivo de Colorado. Como profesor particular, tengo experiencia considerable. Tengo 3 años siendo profesor de español en un distrito local en Denver, y trabajé en la universidad como profesor particular privado también. Enseño a la edad Middle School (11-14), pero también tengo experiencia con el nivel High School y universidad también. He vivido en la dos culturas hispanas (Costa Rica y España), y tengo buen dominio en el idioma, su vocabulario, sus estructuras, y su pronunciación. Aunque no sea un hablante nativo, tengo una perspectiva y una pasión por APRENDERLO que no tendría un hablante nativo. Se puede hacerse bilingüe, yo lo hice y tú puedes también.
