My name is Jessica and I have recently returned from teaching high school Chemistry and Biology at an American school in Guatemala City. I have been tutoring and teaching math and science, high school and college level, for nearly 5 years now. I also have training and experience working with elementary age students in reading, spelling, phonics, and math. I have a B.S. in Chemistry and a Master's in Public Health with a focus in infectious diseases.
My strength in tutoring lies is in (the inevitable) test taking! I've got great tips, strategies, and can pin point key information and concepts that will probably be tested on. I also like to ensure the student has concepts down 100% before I leave, so I find fun ways (or more rigorous if that's what's preferred) to quiz and test the student.
Most of all I am very flexible and willing to work to each student's learning style. Let me know what works best and I'll carry that through in each session.
