Hello,
I graduated from Colorado State University in 2000 with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, where after graduating I worked for Raytheon and Washington Group International as an electrical engineer. I am currently working on my master's degree in applied math through the University of Washington. Becoming a football coach lead me to becoming a teacher. I found that my players struggled with basic math concepts at the High School level. I was able to help them after practice with their studies. I've coached football for the past 9 seasons and I have worked as a high school math teacher in Aurora Public Schools for that past 6 years. Courses I have taught or currently teaching are as follows: Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus AB, ACT Math Prep and I have also taught with an integrated curriculum. I help students understand basic concepts and build on them so that they can apply them to contextual problems as well. The football coach in me understands that practice aides in understanding and perfection, but if you don't have the foundation and basic skills, it is very difficult to move forward. I will help build those basic skills and prepare your son or daughter for the ACT, SAT, College, or just help them in the class that they are currently in. I have used math at the highest level and know what it takes to get there.
