Business and Finance Tutoring with a Business Approach

My philosophy is to bring a team-oriented approach to learning. To the greatest extent practical, not only the student, but parents and teacher will be involved in the process. I operate tutoring sessions like a business with emphasis on communication, expectations, and results.

Most of my tutoring experience comes from assisting co-workers through degreed programs. I have also developed several mentoring programs with previous employers in which tutoring and coaching were emphasized. I have a keen interest in seeing people at all levels of an organization advance through continuing education.

With more than 25 years experience as a business and finance leader, I have a complete understanding of the processes and cycles that meld together business, accounting, and finance disciplines. Whether your tutorial needs are broad or very specific, I will work to help the student understand how it all fits together.

Series 7

In recent years I have helped numerous students prepare for and pass the Series 7 SEC Exam. My approach to preparation is not just to "pass the exam" but to help the student understand the concepts for the long term. I use a mixture of study guides and mock questions to prepare and also cover formulas and definitions. The student is also encouraged to sharpen long division and multiplication skills as calculators are not allowed.
