I received a bachelor's of music in clarinet performance from the University of the Pacific in 2011, and have played clarinet for 14 years. I have taught clarinet lessons privately for six years, and worked with students of all ages and levels. I have prepared students for high school music ensembles, honor bands, competitions, college auditions, and any other personal music goals. I have worked with the Stockton Symphony as a music teacher, the Central Valley Youth Symphony as a woodwinds coach, and I am currently working for the Redwood High School Music Department as a woodwinds coach. I have worked for seven years as a general music tutor for all levels of music theory, music history, and ear training.
For general academic subjects I have tutored math and English for eight years. I have taught elementary level math through precalculus/trigonometry, and logic. I also have experience as an English writing tutor for middle school, high school, and college level writing.
My teaching approach is catered to each individual student. I will meet with the student to discuss and help develop their personal goals, and set a curriculum to move toward those goals.
