I am certified a teacher in secondary education for both math and science. I taught high school math and science for nine years at a Thornton high school. I have taught mathematics at Front Range Community College for the past seven years. I am currently employed by Front Range as an adjunct professor teaching anything from developmental math to college level Calculus. In this role, I am viewed by most students to be an excellent teacher, who knows how to convey mathematical understanding in an easy and understandable manner.
Prior to my teaching career, I was employed as an electrical engineer and a manager for the computer industry for thirty years. I have also worked as an intern for the National Renewable Energy Labs and University of Colorado Medical Center.
You will find my manner is concise and to the point. I attempt to focus on how I think about mathematics and work to understand the student's misconceptions. I look forward in working with you as your tutor.
