I am a recent graduate of Metro State. I earned my degree in Anthropology and minored in Biology. I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a GPA of 3.94. I am a 30 year old mother of two teenage children. My son has dyslexia and ADD and has provided me with valuable experience in tutoring, teaching and mentoring children who struggle with learning disabilities. I have completed several high level college courses including College Algebra, Statistics, Calculus, Anatomy and Physiology, Comp I and II, Interpersonal Communication, Lit, Biology I and II, Genetics, Osteology, and many more. I have quite a bit of experience in tutoring and teaching and have worked with students of all ages, including pre K all the way through college seniors. I have also instructed professionals in the area of anthropology and it's relation to osteology. I am capable of assessing a person's learning style and tailoring their tutoring to a style that helps them receive maximum assistance. Because every student/person learns differently I am willing to include teaching/tutoring aids that incorporate visual, auditory, and kinetic learning stimulation. I also understand that not every student in need of tutoring wants to be tutored. Often times the hardest part of learning something you do not understand is finding interest in the material. I will make every effort to engage the student in both the act of learning as well as the subject itself to ensure an interest that will make each tutoring session productive and enjoyable.
