Hey guys! I'm Jay, and I'll make this short. I love teaching a variety of subjects because of my variety of experiences - I received a Master's from USC, wrote music for the No. 1 kid's show "LEGO Ninjago," placed 6th in the nation in Math League Press Competition, and performed music around the world. I am a trained classical composer with a Masters and Bachelors from the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music. I have a Masters and Bachelors degree from the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music, majoring in Composition and Film Scoring. I tested out of all ear training classes as a freshman, and have had Perfect Pitch my entire life. I now work as a professional composer for film and television, as well as a professional choral singer.

General Music

I have a Masters and Bachelors degree from the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music, majoring in Composition and Film Scoring. While there I became well versed in Music History, the workings of all instruments in a Western orchestra, and I have taught private lessons on many instruments to many students for the last 9 years.

Before, I received a guitar scholarship to the New England Conservatory of Music and the Berklee College of Music, both in Boston. I have taught private students for the last 9 years, age 4 to 72, in a variety of styles and abilities.

I have a Masters and Bachelors degree from the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music, majoring in Composition and Film Scoring. While there, I learned much about Music History, from antiquity to the present day, specializing in the evolution of harmony and ethnomusicology. I have 9 years of experience teaching private lessons to students ages 4 to 72 in a variety of musical disciplines.

I have a Masters and Bachelors degree from the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music, majoring in Composition and Film Scoring. I have 9 years of experience teaching private lessons to students ages 4 to 72 in piano, guitar and voice.

Sight Singing

I have a Masters (Graduate Certificate) in Composition and Film Scoring from the USC Thornton School of Music. During my time there I tested out of all my sight singing classes, as I had years of classical singing experience, as well as perfect pitch. I have a Masters and Bachelors degree from the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music, majoring in Composition and Film Scoring. While there I sang in the USC Chamber Choir under William Dehning and the world renown Paul Salamunovich. I also have 4 years in the Iowa All State Chorus, 7 years of professional choral/cantor experience in Los Angeles, and have taught private voice lessons for several years.

Trombone

I have a Masters and Bachelors degree from the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music, majoring in Composition and Film Scoring. I have played trombone for 8 years, making music in concert bands, marching bands, orchestras, and jazz ensembles. I have taught private lessons on various instruments to students ages 4 to 72, spanning 9 years of teaching.

Songwriting

I have a Masters and Bachelors degree from the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music, majoring in Composition and Film Scoring. I now work as a composer/songwriter for the #1 television series "LEGO NINjago: Masters of Spinjitzu."
