I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts from UCLA and a current California teaching credential. I teach for LAUSD as a substitute teacher and have also taught dance for Pierce College Extension so I have been "live scanned" and cleared by both institutions. I have been told by both LAUSD teachers who have observed my dance classes and by parents who have observed my Pierce College dance classes that I am the most creative and patient teacher they have ever experienced.
I am available to tutor any time during the day or after school between 3-5 p.m. or on Saturdays after 2 p.m. or on Sundays any time. My subject forte is Dance but English is a close second. I have always received very high marks on all of my essays when attending my UCLA AND CSUN. When employed by a major Wall Street firm, I received many compliments for my composition abilities and was completely trusted to handle all business correspondence.
I have taken a college level "Scriptwriting" class and have completed two feature film scripts. I have also completed three Children's books and have taken a college level class in writing for children. I spent many years working for that Wall Street firm, first as a Registered Associate and later as a Financial Adviser; therefore,I learned a great deal over those years about investments and economics. I believe my training and licensing to become a Financial Advisor was complete enough to support my ability to tutor high school Economics as well as Home Economics.
I have always been a home cook since I was tall enough to reach a stove and received high praise by everyone who has tasted my cooking. I was taught the culinary arts by my mother, a native of Naples, Italy, and I love to teach those old world recipes to others.
I have been described as very responsible, punctual, organized, eloquent in my communication skills and able to use analogies and metaphors to help students, young and old, understand difficult concepts in lessons. I love to teach and share the knowledge and experience I have acquired over my lifetime.
