Chris's Answer:

If you have a triangle XYZ with angle bisectors, where they all cross is called the incenter, labelled I. You could say that I is the incenter of triangle XYZ.

x/5=-7 ????

i hate equations i truly dont understand math

Chris's Answer:

So, in the end we need x = something. In order to get x by itself we need to do something first to make things clearer. x/5 is just like saying 1/5*x. That is important becasue to get rid of the number attached to x we need to multiply by the reciprocal (same numbers upside down). so we need to multiply both sides by 5/1 which is the same as 5. so:

x/5=-7

1/5x=-7

5 * 1/5x=-7 * 5      this step eliminates the 1/5

x=-7*5

x=-35

y=-x-4 in coordinate plane

Chris's Answer:

As it reads now, it fits the y=mx+b or slope intercept form which means it will be a straight line. m will be the slope and b will be the x-intercept. Since b in this case is -4, that is your x-intercept. So you can start by making a point at (-4,0) meaning at the point where x is -4 and y is 0. Since there is 1 x in this case we can say that the slope is 1/1 as in rise/run. So, from the point already marked you can count up 1 (rise) and to the right 1 (run) and mark your next point. That should be (-3,1). Using this method you can establish several points which the line passes through and draw the line through them.

Chris's Answer:

I am assuming the problem requires you to graph this equation in the x-y coordinate plane. As it reads now, it fits the y=mx+b or slope intercept form which means it will be a straight line. m will be the slope and b will be the x-intercept. Since b in this case is 2, that is your x-intercept. So you can start by making a point at (2,0) meaning at the point where x is 2 and y is 0. Since m is 2 in this case we can say that the slope is 2/1 as in rise/run. So, from the point already marked you can count up 2 (rise) and to the right 1 (run). and mark your next point. That should be (3,2). Using this method you can establish several points which the line passes through and draw the line through them.
