I have 6 years of experience tutoring students, high school through adult education, in Spanish
, and Writing
. I have been tutoring SAT
now for a whole year.
I tutor Spanish at all levels, beginner through advanced. I have my MA in Spanish, and I studied abroad in Spain for a year. I give presentations in Spanish and translate for a legal services non-profit, too. Finally, I taught two years of Spanish 101 at the University of Wisconsin.
When I tutor English for middle and high school students, I emphasize composition and literary analysis, both skills I have honed through my bachelor's degree in Literature
. SAT Reading
and Writing are tests on which I've prepared students to do score high.

I believe a strong tutor-student relationship is essential to successful tutoring. It is important that students feel comfortable asking questions. I endeavor to earn the respect of my students so that I can push them to do their best work. Working together with families, I help my students to succeed.
