My mission is to teach you, not help you pass your class. Of course, in learning the material, you become very likely to pass your classes, but i feel the goal should be the acquisition of knowledge, not what it allows you to do.
I have a very understanding-based approach to teaching, causing me to be likely to answer your questions with questions of my own, questions designed to nudge you on the path towards deducing the answer on your own. I work through problems with students until I am satisfied they not only understand the problem, but also how to answer problems like it in the future.
I have been teaching organic and general chemistry to undergraduate-level students for over 3 years, and have over 40 hours of private tutor experience teaching SAT math. I have a Master's degree in chemistry from the University of California, San Diego, and graduated with my Bachelor's from California State University, Los Angeles.
I hope for my students to share my love of learning and treat it with the respect I do, and I hope to see you soon.
