Hello! I am an international student from Japan. At a Halloween party in downtown Santa Cruz, I costume-played a ninja from one video game called Final Fantasy. Participants in the party talked to me in Japanese and enjoyed my performance of dancing. They told me that they studied Japanese a little bit because they liked Japanese Anime and video games.
What is your reason to learn Japanese? No matter what it is, I express happiness because you want to learn my home language.
As a volunteer, I have tutored in Japanese for more than six months here in Santa Cruz and online.
I am willing to help you to improve writing, listening, and speaking at K-12 level, as a business contractor. I would like to share my recent tutoring experiences. Previous students of mine were satisfied with my work and achieved their goals. For example, one senior student had problems with sentence structures and word choices for his thesis in Japanese. Via Skype, phone, and email, I gave him my suggestions with sample writings for the paper, and he was able to revise his essay admirably. He then graduated from his college with his minor in Japanese this summer. Another senior student found it difficult to learn Japanese grammar by himself. I met him in person, explained the standard Japanese in English, using his textbooks, and tested his understanding constantly. He has mastered basic sentence structures of Japanese, finished his Japanese textbooks, and became interested in learning Kanji.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. I look forward to working with you.
