Hi, my name is Joan and I love to help students feel more confident in their skills. I have been tutoring all levels for 20 years. I give lessons at my home on Bales Drive in Walnut Creek and am available for lessons afternoons and evenings. I graduated with honors from both the United States Coast Guard Academy and San Jose State with degrees in Civil Engineering. I am a licensed civil engineer, general contractor and have passed the CBEST. I am a full time mom and am trying to keep my skills current by helping those who are having difficulties in their classes.
I love to help the students find their abilities and grow with them. I work one on one and so can explain the each subject as needed. I tailor each session to meet the needs of the student and to help them progress in their knowledge. My only wish is that the student would begin to excel in their subjects.
