I have had wonderful opportunities to teach diverse groups of students, including those with learning disabilities, those who performed at grade level, and those who were gifted/exceptional. Vocabulary

Vocabulary is currently being taught by me in a special needs day classroom. I teach this along with the spelling and reading because all of these subjects are vital and linked together. I am qualified to teach this because of the current teaching position I am working in daily.

Reading

Currently working in Del Mar School Dist and I conduct a reading program for the special needs classroom I work in. I am qualified to teach this material due to my experience. I currently tutor now for students with special needs for reading.

English

I currently teach elementary and special ed in Del Mar Torrey Hills Elementary. I teach a reading program that includes reading, writing, and sounds to include phonics. This program gives students all the various aspects of the English language to help them learn and grow along with vocabulary.

Spelling

Currently, along with a Reading and Vocabulary Program I teach in my classroom, spelling is a vital part of any program. I teach spelling as part of the reading program because students need to be able to understand how to spell and use various words to communicate.

Elementary (K-6th)

I am teaching at Torrey Hills Elementary in a multi-grade elementary class. I have an extensive experience with all student population K-6, I am very familiar with the California Standards, the California State Test. I am credentialed by the state, and I teach all subject matter for grades k-6.

Phonics

Currently I am working in Del Mar School Dist and I conduct a reading program for the special needs classroom I work in. I am qualified to teach this material due to my experience. I currently tutor now for students with special needs for reading. This program also has phonics incorporated with this and along with the reading the correct pronunciation and sounds must be taught.

Special Needs

I work for the Del Mar Union School Dist in the special education dept with a class of students with a wide range of special needs. I'm completing my Master and Credentials in Special Education. I am also working on my multiple subject credential, and moderate to severe behavior credential with an autism certificate. I have an extensive experience with all student population K-12, I am very familiar with the California Standards, the California State Test.

ADD/ADHD

I provide one-to-one education to children with developmental disabilities in the classroom and community. Currently I have three students in my classroom with ADD/ADHD and work together with another teacher in helping my students work in segments in which they work for a 15 to 20 minute period and then are allowed some type of reward that helps them stay focused on work that needs to be done.
