As a university student I sometimes needed a tutor to explain further what I was not able to understand during class. For this reason I understand students that require other ways of explaining in order to reach a clear understanding of the subject. I am also aware that we all learn in different ways: some of us are more visual, some auditory, some more hands on. Whatever the case is there exists a way we can learn more effectively. The tutoring process is also very beneficial for the tutor himself since it constantly refreshes knowledge of a particular subject; as a result both the student and tutor become enriched with knowledge. I have previously tutored for school on wheels, and I really enjoy doing it.
I studied Architecture and received my Bachelor of Architecture in 2005. By consequence of this experience I had to learn programs like Photoshop, Illustrator and AutoCAD for presentation, drawings, etc. This is not to say that these were the only media I used. I am also talented at hand drawing and painting which I also used for concept interpretation during college.
As for the math aspect of Architecture I was required to take up to trigonometry. Although my comfort does not lie within math, I am acquainted with pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, and all the basic math for elementary school students. Another aspect of me is that I am bilingual, I am fluent in both Spanish and English, which means that I can read, write and speak in both. If needed, I am also able to assist and tutor in this area.
