I graduated cum laude from the University of California, Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Arts, double-majoring in History and Asian American Studies. In 2007, I earned my Juris Doctorate from the University of Hawai`i’s William S. Richardson School of Law where my summaries of law review articles and court cases were published in a legal newsletter. As an undergraduate student, I first began tutoring my peers in English Composition, English Literature, and College Algebra; however, for the last five years, I have been a K-12th grade tutor, primarily focusing on Language Arts. Professional training includes time management, organization, prioritization, study skills, and test preparation. I instruct all levels of English through college-level AP Language/AP Literature, Math through Algebra I, History (World History, American History, History of Religions, etc.) Ethnic Studies (Native Hawaiian, Native American, Asian-American, African-American, Chicano Studies, etc.), Government, and Political Science/Law. I am a compassionate and dedicated educator which is evidenced by my students who have regularly scored 25% higher, or more, on diagnostic testing.
