I must say I love the cool nights we're having... Just lovely. The new neighbors don't seem to mind a little light piano in the evenings, so I'm enjoying a proverbial slice of heaven. With regards to teaching, my current WyzAnt students are preparing for my studio's Fall recital on the 10th. Two girls, both under 10, are playing selections by Kuffner and an semi-composed impromptu (it was a dual effort, albeit suggested by her). Studio growth has been exponential and I've found myself spending many hours in the endless search for sheet music, but it is enjoyable nonetheless. Eager minds are...

This summer has indeed proven fruitful. I now teach 25 students privately, 5 of whom are on WyzAnt. Foothills Music Academy had their Summer 2012 recital on the 1st of July. Two of my WyzAnt students - Daphna and Ilona - performed at this recital, playing "Du, du liegst mir im Herzen" and "Sidewalks of New York," respectively. It was a lovely experience all around!

So far, L.A. has been really nice. Sure, there's been the occasional oddity, but I expect as much from a big city. My favorite part is seeing mountains every day, as we really see nothing but sky in Florida. This is, of course, not a bad thing, but the rolling foothills around Burbank and Sunland give you perspective, the lay of the land. It's a nice change.

I'm usually driving through these hills going to and from the private music academy I teach at in Sunland-Tujunga. We recently moved into a bigger facility and it's just been really great. The new resources have already helped by vastly...
