I work with students throughout the Bay Area to increase their ACT scores. I teach workshops on essay writing for the ACT and given critical feedback on how to improve their essays based on past ACT essay prompts. I demonstrate to students how to break down many of the reading passages, science sections, and math problems to help eliminate wrong answer choices and use their critical thinking skills to analyze questions. Many of my students have increased their scores by 5 - 10 points by employing my techniques, taking practice tests and working through problems in one-on-one situations and group settings.
My test prep students have seen their overall test scores and certain subject scores increase by 3 - 4+ points. A few of my students, after hard work and lots of practice, witnessed their scores increase by 5 points on the Writing section of the SAT. By working with me, students will learn to decipher and paraphrase main points of the Critical Reading section to look for the correct answer to questions on the ACT. They will also learn how to eliminate extreme answers and how to infer what the best answer choice is based on evidence within the passage.
