Born and raised in Birmingham England, I started shooting with the family camera at the age of 12. This progressed to my very own camera (YASHICA TLR) and I was off and running. My photographic playground was the industrial, dingie, and canals of my hometown (it has more canals than the City of Venice Italy). This is where I honed my skills in shooting, developing and printing my work.
After graduating from Aston University (the very first student to have a one man Photographic exhibit) and having a secured knowledge of where I wanted to go, I pursued a career in photography with an advertising agency. There I would photograph CADBURY'S CHOCOLATE for the next several years while shooting privately for other clients
such as BBC Television, Motorola, The Badminton Association of England.
On coming to America, I engaged in many diverse projects including producing and directing fundraising theatrical shows, Civil War reenactments, old western gunfights, and downhill ski races, but my love of photography was always with me.
When the digital age came into being, so to came the "waking of Brian", with my significant other's encouragement. I picked up were I had left off with my very first love that of photography.
With a solid background in this "time honoured format of film" I am able to use this "GET IT RIGHT IN THE CAMERA" mentality to produce art gallery quality images "WITHOUT" the artificial aid of computer software.
