Both my boys are over 17 years old. They needed help in Geometry. Our school system issued math books with poorly written lessons. We needed a tutor with the ability to help my older boys see math in a different way. Not only did Richard provide knowledge, he even brought a school book from another school district that has proven successful across the board.
Richard is patient, kind, and willing to explain a topic in many ways until the boys understood.
Richard is respectful and willing to work around personal parameters.

We hired Richard to help our fifteen year old son with Geometry. Richard was the perfect tutor for our son. Patient and persistent, always willing to go back and review a problem until understood. If our son was still unsure, Richard was able to provide a deeper explanation, always confirming the correct answer, and asking our son "Got it?" or "Okay?" before moving on.
Richard was flexible with appointments and willing to devote the time needed for our son to make substantial progress in a short period of time. Though not his regular occupation, he is a great teacher and we consider ourselves lucky to have found him.

Richard was a wonderful tutor. He helped me a lot right before my finals. I was struggling in pre cal getting D's and F's on all my tests and I needed at least a C on the final to pass the class. Richard helped me through tons of worksheets and we reviewed for many hours. He was able to keep me focused and was very patient with me when I didn't understand something. He also taught me his own tricks including bringing his own notes for me. I ended up getting a B on the final with his help so it was a huge improvement. He saved my grade completely. Richard is a great tutor and I highly reccomend him.
