You know that f(x) can be expanded as a series as follows. f(x) = f(0) + f'(0)*x + (f''(0)/2)*x2 + (f'''(0)/6)*x3 + (f''''(0)/24)*x4 + ... In case of cos(x), the coefficient of any odd power is zero, which matches well with the fact that cos(x)...

My passion for teaching comes from witnessing students to grow to their full potential by nurturing their academic capabilities through my teaching. As a tutor with a certificate as High school Math teacher in Massachusetts and a teaching assistant in graduate school, I have taught many students in Math (algebra, trigonometry, calculus, etc), Science (chemistry and biology), and advanced Engineering classes. Through my education and professional career, I have built an in-depth understanding of Math and Science, both in theory and in experiments. As a PhD in Chemical Engineering with five years of professional experiences, I have conducted multidisciplinary researches in chemistry, biology, materials science, and medicine.

As written above, my specialty lies in Math and Science for achievement in school and in SAT, ACT, GED, GRE, and GMAT.

I have a tutoring office in Chatsworth,CA, where I have individual or group tutoring sessions. Students may have an undisturbed and comfortable study space with me in my tutoring office. However, I am available to travel to other designated tutoring places, if students would prefer to.

I look forward to hearing from you and having a tutoring session with you or your children.

I have always struggled with higher level math and have had numerous tutors before Isaac that have ranged from satisfactory to decent. I'm currently learning Calculus II and, thanks to Isaac, I am doing better in this class than any of my previous courses, such as Calculus I and Trigonometry. Isaac is a very friendly and patient tutor who is able to slow himself down to a pace that I am able to keep up with. He is always well-prepared with the material that is needed for our future sessions, and unlike any of my other tutors, his in-depth knowledge of the subject of math is remarkably sharp. No matter what kind of question faces the both of us, he has always been able to answer it without breaking much of a sweat. He is kind, committed, intelligent, and is by far the best tutor I have ever had. I only wish that I could have been tutored by him years ago.

Isaac is very knowledgeable. We would recommend him and work with him again. He was very patient as well. He was very easy to schedule a meeting with and flexible on the meeting place.

Very thorough and knowledgeable with organic chemistry. Isaac is very patient and explains the subject at a steady pace. He made sure to provide a comfortable study atmosphere and was very encouraging.

Our son was receiving a low grade in AP Bio. Isaac worked well with him and made the time to see him for numerous sessions. As a result our son did well on his finals and was able to pass the class.

Isaac is a very helpful tutor to my son. He has helped him review for various tests and quizzes. One of the best qualities that he has is that he can understand my son's weaknesses and uses real life examples to help him understand concepts. He is very respectful and is very kind. I'm glad Isaac met my son. I saw an improvement in my son's understanding in chemistry. I'm able to say that my son is comprehending chemistry.

Very good patient and nice. I recommend him but I don't want to lose him! He can teach for hours and doesn't get tired. I really enjoy his teaching with my son.

Isaac proved to be conscientious, reliable, and very knowledgeable. He was easy to work with and genuinely concerned with my son's progress, even making significant changes to his schedule to accommodate ours.

More importantly, he got results. With Isaac's help, my son was able to improve his AP Stat grade from a "D" to a "B" in just over two weeks!

Isaac was a perfect tutor for my daughter. Isaac is very organized and knowledgeable. He helped my daughter with her statistic problems. He is very kind and patient and very helpful and informative. My daughter really liked working with him. He is patient and accommodating and I highly recommend him to anyone who needs help. Thank you

Babak's daughter is a high school senior with a bright future in the Engineering field, which would be her major in college. As she is taking AP Statistics, we worked together to understand the concept of calculating probability-based normal distribution and conditional probability in independent events. She understood right away. It was a pleasure to work with her.

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I am a certified high school Math teacher in Massachusetts.

I possess credentials such as an advanced degree in Engineering, PhD in Chemical Engineering, and a Certificate as a High school Math teacher in Massachusetts. I have helped many students in Algebra 2 including two students whom I am tutoring currently. I help students to develop concepts in functions including linear, quadratic, polynomial, exponential, and logarithmic ones, and how to match them as graphs.

I have grown in church from my early age. I have regularly attended Sunday worship services. I have had factual Bible studies in church from Genesis to the gospels to the Epistles of Apostle Paul. I have led Bible studies in a group and individual session.

As an Engineering major, I have taken Calculus and Engineering Math during Undergrad years. I have taken Advanced Engineering Math in Graduate school. Other Engineering courses that I have taken require in-depth Calculus skills. Earlier this year I acquired a preliminary teaching certificate in Math in Massachusetts. I have taught Calculus in private and group tutoring sessions.

I have a BS/MS in Chemical Technology and a PhD in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. My education shows that I am qualified for tutoring Chemical Engineering.

Physics is fun! Physics and math are closely related. As an example, calculus dictates the connection among distance, velocity, and acceleration as functions, and physics gives the meaning of the functions in our real lives. As an Engineering major, I have developed understanding of the physical concepts from fundamentals to applications. I have a strong basis in math and a high school math teacher's certificate so that I can help students in figuring out the relationship between math and physics.

The denominator cannot be zero. So, x2 -1 ≠ 0 Then, x ≠ ±1 So, the answer is (-∞,-1) ∪ (-1,1) ∪ (1,∞)
