Hello, my name is Heather and I am currently on leave from teaching. I have a 1 year old son, who I stay home with and love it! I currently tutor a 3rd grader in Tustin and am looking to add a few more students to my schedule. I am available for tutoring on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays. If tutoring is needed on Tuesday and Thursdays, I will need to fit you in to my existing schedule.
I previously have taught 4th and 6th grade, with an emphasis on Math and Science. I love to make learning fun and I believe wholeheartedly in supporting a student in a positive way and rewarding them when they succeed! I love to be in constant contact with the parents, but also with the child's teacher! I do not want to step on their toes, but simply find out what I can do to support their teaching in the classroom. I would also communicate with them in regards to upcoming tests, quizzes or projects!
My hope is when I bring on a tutoring student to my schedule, I am only an asset to the child, along with the rest of the child's support team. My goal is to be as supportive as possible and to make sure that the child succeeds!
