Former reporter/editor for a national weekly magazine is available to help students in L.A. and the Glendale/Pasadena foothills area brush up on reading, writing, vocab and editing skills to prepare for current classes, college entrance tests, the general job market and--if they are determined and crazy--the diminishing field of print journalism. My teaching style focuses on improving YOUR style: I believe everyone can write, whether they know it or not. The trick is learning to trust your voice and getting out of your own way. Being schooled in a little Schoolhouse Rock never hurt, either.
