Hello there! My name's Scott, and I've just recently graduated from UC Davis with a degree in biochemistry & molecular biology (BMB for short). I'm currently working at UC Davis as a Jr. Specialist in a lab on campus. In the meantime, I'm also applying to medical school for the 2014 cycle.
So while I'm in my application process, I figured I'd use my newly gained knowledge to help out some people who might be struggling with some subjects that are commonly regarded as difficult. I have extensive knowledge in biology, inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, enzymology, immunology, classical physics, algebra, trigonometry, geometry, and writing (not listed in any particular order). I'm extremely comfortable with all of the listed subjects and enjoy every single one of them. Hopefully, I might be able to change your mind about one or two of them as well (or at least help you get through them).
If you choose to grant me the honor of helping you through your studies, I generally like to follow a predetermined plan in the beginning then adjust as needed. I usually like to get to know you first: what are your perceived strengths and weaknesses, how do you like to study, are there any time constraints regarding when you need to master a particular concept? After we get to know each other we can set an individualized schedule and pace that works for you. First I'd like to develop a strong basis on the fundamentals, and then I can begin to show you quick tips and tricks that I've learned over the years to help deal with the difficulty of some of these subjects.
Please feel free to contact me regarding my background, qualifications, subjects, or anything else that might interest you. I promise you I don't bite.
