Hi, I'm a former high school chemistry teacher and I've been tutoring for over four years. I'm available to tutor AP, Honors and regular high school chemistry students. I am very familiar with where students struggle (stoichiometry, grams and moles, buffer solutions, gas laws, etc.).
I also believe that as a tutor, I should adapt to the student's learning style, not the other way around. I can explain things in more than one way, and use analogies as well as my own custom created chemistry worksheets to break down the concept in a way that is more understandable to the student. I’m very results oriented with tutoring–to me, the way of explaining things that allows you to understand is the right way.
All students, no matter what level they are at now, can achieve academic success. Whatever your starting point is, we’ll get you to your goal in small, manageable steps. I’ll never make you feel bad about the level you’re at now.
