Thanks for taking the time to review my information and consider me for tutoring in your home.
You can call me Tim. I have a combined ten years of teaching and tutoring experience in the areas of middle and high school Math and Science. I also hold a Master's degree in Education.

I am cheerful and easy to get along with. I understand that Science and, in particular, Math can be confusing and frustrating subjects for many students. My approach is simply to patiently demonstrate the correct method to solve problems, and to demystify the process as much as possible, emphasizing that Math problems are a series of simple steps. Often, students become frustrated because they do not understand the "why" aspect of some types of problems. In these situations, I try to emphasize that the "why" of most problems is much less important than understanding the "what" and "how"; that is, the simple steps involved to solve the problem.
