I am patient and love working with kids, teens or anyone who wants to learn. I am good at explaining and easily develop a rapport with my students. I find that a sense of humor in tutoring is invaluable at making learning more enjoyable. I am creative and adjust my teaching methods to your student’s learning style. I am organized, reliable and prompt and look forward to that “aha” moment when the light of understanding shines in my students’ eyes. My students’ increased confidence following such moments is very gratifying.
I have a degree in Math and Computer Science from UCLA. My work experience includes over 10 years at Xerox, where I excelled in programming and design. I also worked on the Unix kernel at Citicorp. Of course, my past work experience includes tutoring, with the caveat that my tutoring prior to WyzAnt has been as a volunteer, so you can tell I really enjoy it.
