Since I was a child, I've been an avid reader and writer. I've acquired my B.A. in English and writing, and continue to pursue my passion for language through freelance reporting, blogging and serving as editor for an online newspaper. Though I'll be pursuing a position teaching at the college level after grad school, it's always been a love of mine to help younger minds find their way through school and towards their dreams.
I've worked with various students over the years, ranging from adult ESL students to elementary age. I can assist in all school subjects, however my specialties are English, language arts and writing. My approaches vary from student to student, as I feel it's more effective to mold my general approach to best suit each student, but I try and use stimulating, hands-on methods to get my students more involved; we always end up enjoying our time together more, and in turn they wind up growing and learning quicker and more effectively. I have experience tutoring but unlike other tutors, I also bring to the table my passion for words and grammar. I only hope to share that love with others through teaching.
