My experience in tutoring includes 4 years in the AVID Program where as students we would sit in groups and tutor each other in various subject matter.
I have a BA and AA in Communications. I am bilingual speaking and writing in both English and Spanish.
I would like to tutor students in English, Spanish, grammar, language and literacy.
My tutoring methods include one-on-one and group settings, where I attempt to guide students through the subject matter and pinpoint areas of difficulty.
I try to guide students rather than telling them what to do, so that students feel as if they are learning by themselves.
In addition, I like to use games as a method of easy learning, so that students have fun and therefore find their subject matter more interesting.
I enjoy working with elementary school children, and I consider myself to be patient and easy going.
