Ultimately I am here to help those who are learning English as a second language. For the past two and one-half years I lived in Tokyo, Japan, teaching English to both Japanese children and adults. I have experience teaching in public junior highs and elementary schools as well as business salary men at various Japanese companies.
I have received my TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) Certificate from the University of California, Irvine. Through relevant coursework, I developed finely tuned skills to teach the specific areas of reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Also, I have acquired knowledge of TEFL methods and theories of second language acquisition. Furthermore, I have completed courses regarding grammar, student placement, feedback, and evaluation.
