Accounting is not difficult to understand. As an accounting student myself not so long ago, I understand that additional resources are the key which produces the best study efforts result. I utilize a wide range of accounting resources, from fundamental statements to third-party software, to recommend so that the student can quickly get up to speed and achieve their desired proficiency. I passed all four sections of the CPA exam the first time, and will do everything I can to leave the prospective accounting student in the same position. I am also a QuickBooks Pro Advisor for students who wish to augment their accounting education with real-life examples and companies. I am committed to answering every question the student has about accounting, and I welcome all opportunities to advance my own understanding as well as that of the student in field applications. I highly recommend Mr. John C for any student that is struggling with accounting or any other course related to financing and budgeting. I have worked with online tutors before that I thought were great until I met John. John raised my expectations of a tutor because he was very patient and professional during our time together. I think he would be a fantastic college professor.
Jon not only answered all of my questions clearly & concisely, he also provided me with a wealth of materials, both printed and in video form, to help me become more self-sufficient. Jon is the MAN!!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
Anyone can pick up the basics of Accounting if they are given the proper materials. These plus the experience of someone who has successfully studied Accounting in both undergraduate and graduate studies, as well as passed all four sections of the CPA exam the very first time, assures the serious student that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. As someone who has gone through all phases of Accounting studies, including "Intermediate", I have no doubt that you can do it.
I am and have been a QuickBooks Pro Advisor for the past three years (certified in 2008, 2009, and 2010). I have a certification subscription that I renew every year. This year I will qualify for 2011, 2012, and advanced certification. In addition, I have taken courses that relate bookkeeping to QuickBooks. My certification subscription includes enhanced payroll; I am always learning something new in QB applications, and my subscription includes unlimited technical support. This helps all CPAs like myself help clients with their stickiest QB questions --- please ask me about client courses in QB, many of which are free for clients of pro advisors.
