Hello,
My name is Nicole and I am currently attending Sacramento State University and pursuing a major of Child Development with a concentration in social and community setting with a minor in business. I am just about to end my third year there. Throughout high school I did peer tutoring for fellow students at my high school which included various subjects such as English grades 9-12, Algebra 1 through Pre- Calculus, as well as some Spanish.
I am more than willing to help enable your child to bring out the most of their potential. I know that in every student, there is the ability to do well in any course they take, and I firmly believe that I can help them to attain that goal of good grades and doing well. I am willing to do in home tutoring as long as it is not unreasonably far from Temecula, but would prefer to do tutoring in a library type setting.
Parents are more than welcome to observe my tutoring sessions so they know that they can be comfortable with me and my tutoring style. I am very patient and my tutoring approach is one that is calm mannered. I understand that not all students learn the same way and it may take others a little bit more explaining. I am willing to explain it in as many different ways as possible, as long as in the end I accomplish my goal of having the student understand the material.
In addition to my peer tutoring experience in high school, I also volunteered at my old private school with the elementary grade students. I was some what of a teacher assistant that helped the students with reading, writing, math, science, as well as grading. I know how to work with all type of students and am confident that if chosen to be your tutor, I will be successful in helping your student learn.
Generally, If I am tutoring in High school math review, I will label it as SAT Math because it is a review of previous math such as algebra or geometry, etc.
