The daughter of a French woman and a Sicilian-American man, I knew from a very young age I was destined to a life of studying international relations. I began that journey in high school, when I spent a year studying in Rennes, France. The next year I scored a 5 on the French AP test and an 800 on the SAT II, enlightening me to my gift of learning languages. That experience gave me the incurable "travel bug" and inspired me to study abroad in Bilbao, Spain during my time double-majoring in international relations and Spanish at the University of Southern California. A graduate of the university's honors program, I am still a true "language nerd": I am often busy writing and editing, whether it be the content of my catering company's website or the final draft of a friend's thesis.

While at USC, I discovered my love for teaching by working as a teaching assistant for 24th Street Theatre. The theater allowed me the freedom to develop a teaching style that is very encouraging and student-led. With five years of private tutoring experience, I strive to create an atmosphere that inspires a love of learning by allowing students to think outside the box and question everything.

Spanish is Fun — Classes are fun and engaging. She cares about my son's interests and skills. She is always bringing new articles for reading, and includes technology (my son's favorite part) in the lessons. My son is already having short conversations with us! ...
